We are a group of cryptocurrency veterans interested in the creation of the most broad and useful blockchain platform in the crypto space .

The cryptocurrency space is, and has been, in need of an all-encompassing platform that allows for the creation, promotion, publishing and marketing of that same software product or altcoin. We at x42 believe that our platform is a fantastic option for that and much more; our platform offers truly free transactions between users, with no hidden fees or taxation by the developers of any kind.

The Idea

The x42 protocol started as a small project focused on making a blockchain that could support ideas from small developers without charging a lot, and allowing for the end product of those same developers to be published in the same place they were designed. Test networks became necessary, so they were added to each side blockchain.

The x42 development team is working right now to make improvements to the existing platform and adding new features to the main blockchain. x42 Protocol is a coin, not a token.

The Build

As we began to work on the blockchain, we noticed that in addition to side blockchain projects, there is a need for a feeless alternative to cryptocurrency decentralized application (Dapp) publishing. This allowed the x42 main blockchain to support cryptocurrency, data and physical goods transactions in the form of final product R&D in the form of side blockchains.

The Launch

August 1st, 1833, England, UK. The Slavery Abolition Act. We at x42 believe in freedom above anything else, so exactly 185 years later we decided to launch this blockchain. This project was, from the start the means to an end, and that end is the complete economic freedom of every man, woman and child. The x42 core development team wishes you all a happy independence day.

This will be the most common type of masternode, as it is the easiest one to acquire. Tier I masternodes only require one thousand coins (1000 x42) to be locked on the main blockchain. Along with the full node wallet, this is the backbone of the entire x42 protocol blockchain, it will be the most widespread type of masternode, and likely the tier that puts out the largest amount of processing power.

The Tier II masternode will require twenty thousand coins to be locked (20,000 x42) on the main blockchain. This masternode will provide several very useful types of services to the entire network, allowing even mobile users to use the provided servers if they pay a small fee to the service provider.

The Tier III masternode will require fifty thousand coins to be locked (50,000 x42). This type of xServer will provide a unique and useful service to the network-anonymous instant transactions. This service will have a fee determined by the gatekeeper, and will allow every type of wallet to make price lock transactions.

  • All capabilities of the Tier I masternode, excluding staking
  • Price Lock transactions
  • Atomic swaps will be eventually added to T3 Masternodes.

1. Why did you call it x42?

X has always been the universal unknown in mathematics, which can also mean ‘anything.’ It is believed to have come from the arab letter shin (ش), that was initially used by spanish scholars because of their inability to translate certain arabic sounds into the spanish language, so it became a synonym for an unknown thing. From there on it was noticed that the spanish language didn’t have an appropriate sound for the arabic ‘sh.’ As time passed it was adapted into the ‘ck’ sound, which in classic greek is written down with a symbol known as chi (X). 42 is known to Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy readers as the ‘answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything’. We believe that x42 can offer a great answer to most questions plaguing the cryptocurrency space at the moment and in the future. That mix of an unknown and an answer is where our name got its origin.

2. Where are you guys from? How long have you been involved with crypto?

We are a multi-country team, and the majority of us are cryptocurrency veterans.

3. Will x42 be maintained and updated?

Yes. We are very passionate about this project. Our roadmap is very short-term, once we are done with it we will focus on code improvements and side blockchain DApp development.

4. Isn’t sharding a better option than side blockchains?

We are looking into sharding.
