Getting Approved for Participation:

  • Fill or update your bounty hunter form, if you haven't yet.
  • Fulfill all of the bounty specifications described below.
  • Send email, with correct subject, to the specified address with the translated file attached to claim bounty.
  • Any user who does not do or qualify for any of these steps will be automatically excluded from the bounty.,

Bounty Specifications

1. Download the editable .pdf version of the Whitepaper at https://goo.gl/9YP2Dt.
2. Translate the x42 whitepaper and its images to language of choice. A list of the received translations will be kept in an online sheet at https://goo.gl/EwqfpY
3. The translation must keep the formatting, colors and fonts used of the original document.
  • Section headers/Titles – Blue: rgb(70, 122, 181) or # 467AB5;
  • List headers – Pink: rgb(173, 41, 132) or #AD2984;
  • Paragraphs – Black rgb(0, 0, 0) or #000;

If your language doesn't support the font family currently used in our documentation please contact us at our DISCORD channel.

4. Revisions might be required. They will be paid accordingly to the size of the changes.
5. If two or more users forward a translation of the same language within a very short time span, the one with the earliest timestamp that fulfills all the bounties specifications will claim it.

Friendly tip

- Converting a pdf to another format in order to edit it will incur in a inevitable loss of quality, not to mention the risk of losing the original formatting and editing capabilities completely. If possible, prefer working on editions to *.pdf files in their native enviroment: Adobe Acrobat. If you can't or don't wish to own a license of Acrobat for any reason, there are a number of free softwares and online editors that allow you to edit non locked pdfs directly and save them without watermaks.

Bounty Specifications

1. 30 x42 coins will be paid to anyone that is native in a particular language and translates the x42 ANN announcement to that language, if it hasn’t been translated to it yet..
2. Translate the entirety of the x42 ANN topic and its images to the language of choice. A list of the confirmed received translations is kept at the bottom of the topic.
3. Reply to the thread with a link to the finished translation's topic. The topic must be within the correct /Local board.
4. If two or more users forward a translation of the same language within a very short time span, the one with the earliest timestamp that fulfills all the bounties specifications will claim it.
After replying to the thread, and provided that all steps have been correctly followed, await for user's x42-ADM message to claim your bounty.

We call on our bug bounty hunters and all members of the x42 community to help identify bugs. Reported bugs will be assessed by our security team to determine if they qualify for a reward. Please report a potential security issue immediately.
REPORT VULNERABILITY

Rules & Rewards

1. Verifiable proof that the vulnerability exists (screenshot/video/script) is required to receive a reward.
2. Reproduction steps are required. If our security team cannot reproduce and verify an issue, a bounty cannot be awarded.
3. The value of rewards paid out will vary depending on Severity. The severity is calculated according to the OWASP risk rating model.
4. While reward sizes are guided by the rules above, determinations of eligibility, score and all terms related to a reward are in the end determined at the sole discretion of the x42 bug bounty panel.
5. At x42's discretion, providing more complete research, proof-of-concept code and detailed writeups may incur a bonus percentage on the bounty awarded.
6. Recently disclosed 0-day vulnerabilities are not eligible.
7. Issues that have already been submitted by another user or are already known to the x42 team are not eligible for bounty rewards.
8. Vulnerabilities affecting outdated browsers, softwares or platforms are not eligible.
9. x42 websites are NOT part of the bounty program.
10. x42's core development team, employees and all other people paid by the x42 project, directly or indirectly, are not eligible for bug hunting rewards, whether hosted by x42 or any third party.
11. All awards are subject to applicable law. Your testing must not violate any law or compromise any data that is not yours.

Valid Bounties

1. Non-Critical bug-fixes: These are issues with the code (or issues on github issues) that are definitely bugs, but that do not have to be implemented as soon as possible .
2. Improvements:  Presenting an accepted improvement via Pull Request on Github.
3. Critical Issues:  Fixing any serious issues (major exploits, eg. something that could cause an exchange to de-list, a network to become unstable/broken, an attack that would force a victim node to 100% CPU utilization... etc.)
